Well we kicked off "Be Kind to Animals Week" with me climbing up at poll to free one of our resident starlings (his leg was trapped and cut open) and then rushing it to the afterhours clinic. Im hoping the little guy will be okay so we can release it back to his mate. They have a nest under our built in BBQ and Ive watched the female since yesturday working tirelessly to care for the little ones. Baby birds need feeding every 30 minutes in the early stages which is why it is vital to have oth parents doing the feedings. Fingers crossed she doesnt abandon the nest.

I just brought a baby bird in to be picked up by Wings. He fell out of his nest, but it was not from very high.. maybe 4 feet, and he was tweeting up a storm on the way there. I realllly hope he will make it! I don't think he was hurt in any way.. He pooped twice, so his digestive tract seems to be intact..hehe
