How often to you pick up take out food for dinner cause you are running late from work or just tooooooo darn tired?

Thursday is Pizza night, as it gives everyone cold pizza lunch for the next day.

On occasion we will also grab something on the weekend as a treat

Usually on a Wednesday if my s/o works a double with an hour or so in between. Its just easier. We also get subway when we do movie night on a Friday or Saturday night :)

Once in a blue moon we will get take out during the week. Some times on the weekend maybe a pizza or schwarma.

usually two work nights a week I get take out, one night is almsot always subway night, as we have about a half hour between me picking the kids up and their evening activity, and it's just easier. I hate to cook, I hate to prep meals ahead of time, and for me it's just easier to budget in a few meals out to my grocery budget.

Since I do so much travelling for work and eat out sooo often, I get sick of it! Tired or not, seem to prefer picking at things in the fridge over ordering take out.

Although I will admit I get a craving for pizza which just is not the same if you cook it yourself (unless its Johnny Piez!) or Chinese.... :)

When I was working out of the home everyday we ate out or ordered in way too much. For the past year we have made a concerted effort to cut down and its easier cause I have more time at home now. Twice a month we budget eat out/order in and its funny because when we do get take out I end up not enjoying it and regretting wasting so much money on crap food.

I rarely do it anymore. Maybe once a month. I will admit to doing it quite often about 5 years ago but I am a much better meal planner now.

eta IF I do it now I try to make it healthier alternatives to fast food. Like my stop is to remarks for some of their premade meals OR to the grocery store for a baked chicken and premade salad.

Not often, you can cook a good meal quick, like fish in the oven and some rice. Or salad and some chicken in the oven. Pasta. There are healthier alternatives and MUCH CHEAPER too, most meals can be cooked in 20-30 mins.
