I hate to demommy my purse before going out. I don't really need wipes and a diaper when I'm doing Zumba! It hasn't reached my car yet. :)

yes murk but the trick it is to KEEP it that way.

I still have the tell tale carseat in mine but nothing else. No toys, books or wrappers to be found.

I just took out a big bag of taylor's stuff- too small clothes, diapers and wipes from this time last year :p and various books and sunflower seeds and old water bottles and yucky old granola bars. hehe, took a while to get thru it all. It was all neat in one bag, yuck, though and not all over the car. Went thru the back of the seats those bottomless pockets... big spring clean here :)

Yes, I hear 'ya! I make my 5 yr old help me do it now. I take a laundry basket, and we put everything in it that doesn't belong in the car.

Oh, and here's a trick that has worked to help keep things clean:

I bought a small rubbermaid bin & told my son that he could keep 'car toys' in it. He's not allowed to bring new toys into the car. And, by the time we get to our destination he has to have all the toys back in the bin.

It has worked out amazingly well! No more stray toys & things littered throughout the car, and no more arguements when we are leaving to go somewhere, asking if he can bring this or that along.

But I don't have a solution for all the stray crumbs!

I have one of those garbage bags that hang off of the seat and I have a book, pens, markers, and other toys in it for dd to play with...every now and then I have to de kid the car..esp during the summer with camping season....I would rather do that then have a bored grumpy kid for 2.5 hours in the car.
