A slow cooker is the best option when preparing meals to cook and leave. Itís really simple, just throw in some meat, add a few cans of sauce or vegetables, turn the dial on the slow cooker to low and let the whole thing cook over night, or put it on high and let it cook while at work and the kids are at school.

How often do you cook-and-leave? And, what are some of your favorite recipes?

I love my slow cooker! I use it for all kinds of meals, but a co-worker just recommended using a pork roast with a jar of salsa. Leave it on low for 8 hours .... YUM was it ever tasty!

I go on rampages where I will use my slow cooker several times a week for a month straight and then not at all for a month. It is convenient, but nothing beats a well prepared meal done the old fashioned way :)

I don't do it too often as i'm not working right now and I am also paranoid to leave the crock pot on while gone (I know it's what it is made for but I am always scared a fire will start or something lol) but when I use it my top 3 are ribs (fall off the bone goodness), beef stew (lasts a couple days and tastes better the next day) and chili (I make a sweet one and leftovers can be used for chili fries or even a homemade manwich)
