did your company or organization have to negotiate hard to get the day off......this year is the first time I get it....FINALLY.

In my business you don't get days off haha... and unfortunately, it's my weekend to work so I get to work the holiday! Boo!! haha

I have to work it.

Not a paid holiday, we are Federally regulated with no union.

i have to work but its considered a holiday so i will be getting paid for the holiday and time and a half to work

Nope, we dont get it cuz our company decided we already get enough holidays.

No it was a decision made by our executive director

Dp has to work it but he gets a floating holiday because of it? He is just going to use that day off when we have the baby.

so sorry to hear about those who have to work....been there before as well. It was so hard to get up and go to work while DH and kids were still asleep.
