A Magnitude 3 earthquake rumbled houses 14 kilometres northeast of Leamington Feb. 23, 2011.

Natural Resources Canada confirmed there was a “small earthquake,” in Chatham-Kent at 9:21 a.m., seismologist Janet Drysdale said Wednesday.

“There’s no way to know” if there will be more earthquakes felt in the area, Drysdale said.

A Magnitude 3 earthquake is a size that people would just be able to feel or they may have heard a bang or felt their house shake, she said. The epicentre was 14 kilometres northeast of Leamington.

Between the planes taking off, trains passing by, normal morning car/truck noise, dogs & cats playing and dd running around you would think there was an earthquake everyday in this house :)
