a spin off from the working mom thread... is your DH supportive of your choice to stay home with your children? or maybe, is he the reason you are staying home?

dh was supportive of it. He preferred I stayed home with the kids until dd was over a year old. Now he supports my education and secretly hopes I get a really good job so he can be a SAHD lol.

I didn't have a choice with SO job, with him being gone for day to weeks at a time. it impossible to have a job. I would never get a job that paid my enough to pay daycare and have money to bring home. Just better for me to stay home.

At first it was something I wanted to do but then my dh got a promotion which requires him to travel all the time, sometimes on a moments notice. So I have since left my full time career to be a SAHM.

Yes, he's supportive of my decision to stay home. It's actually a promotion from homemaker to stay at home mom :) LOL We're both happy with the arrangement right now, and the kids sure love it.
