I have been preparing to enroll in the BSN in nursing program for several years now. I finally had all my pre-requisites (taken through Mason at the advice of the University)...and since I had 11 credits already at the U...I applied there last year. I found out on June 2nd, 2010(the date that they gave a response to mature students) that I did NOT get in. I made an appointment with the Head of the Nursing Dept at the U only to find out that I didn't stand a chance of ever getting in. My marks were excellent, but without a degree I just could not compete with the other adult students.

I checked out St. Clair since their BSN in nursing is EXACTLY THE SAME as the U only to find out that I would have been accepted! (Based on my marks) So I applied this past October and found out in March that I was accepted. I also re-applied to the U...and I still have not received an answer.

Crazy that the two schools offer the same program, but treat mature students so differently.
