We'll be ringing in 2012 quietly at home just the 3 of us. This is the first NYE that neither DH nor I have been working and I'm quite looking forward to it. We've decided on pancakes for dinner. Chips, salsa and shrimp for snacking and Candyland and Chutes and Ladder for funzies! :)

Quiet night at home - we haven't gone out for New Years in a VERY long time LOL

For the last 19 NYE my BFF and I have gotten together (now with our families) to ring in the new year, seeing as she has a super itty bitty baby this year, I bet we don't last past dinner LOL

It's just me and the kids at home tonight. We will decorate a little, a order Chinese and have a pj party :) At midnit we have sparklers and noise makers to head outside and celebrate Euro-style with pots and pans andawhole lot of "happy new years". It's fun :) My s/o is bartending so he gets to be in the thick of the action.

Going to my BFF's for a late dinner, drinks and some cards. Kids can hang out and play except for ds who is with grandma for their traditional Chinese dinner at her firend's house.

My mom throws a NYE get together every year. We'll be heading over there tonight. Since I was a young child I've always looked forward to my NYE with my family... she's got lots of traditions and makes a great dinner. Actually I've only spent ONE NYE away from my family and that was when I was about 15 or 16. I felt super guilty and called my mom right at midnight that year. lol :) The kids will bang tons of pots and pans at midnight and I'll bring sparklers. Should be a great time!

I chose "party time around the city" because it fit the best out of the choices, but really we're doing a family night out together at a nearby rec center. There's supposed to be a free "glow" skate (some kind of black light thing I think), dogsled rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, a reptile display, magic show, and family dance with free hot chocolate and timbits. I'm hoping it's not going to be too crazy. Usually we just chill at home NYE, but when I found out about this event I figured the kids and hubby and I would check it out as it sounds like tons of fun.

I am working nights! We're doing a pot luck at work, so it should be fun! I never do anything for NYE, so working nights on a weekend for holiday pay..?? SURE! Why not! hehe

Rob has gone back to Deep River =( he left this morning with his brother.

His moms house is empty for the night so my sister came over to chill with me and dd. We are working on getting her to bed now. It will be a quiet night but I am glad, we have had some kind of activity/event every day since we got here last Friday.

I'm home alll by myself tonight trying to get over this bronchial infection I have so I don't even know if I can stay up until midnight, feeling pretty tired. Ds is at his dad's and will call me at midnight and my ex was actually very kind and brought me some of their ham dinner cause he knew I was sick and I got my kiss and hug from ds.
Hope everyone has a fun and safe NY whether you're out or at home :)

We stayed home and had family game night. The baby went to bed at a normal time, but we let ods stay up until 10 when we faked a countdown and put him to bed.

We had a kids party hear complete with Candy bar. The adults had just as much fun as the kids. me and the kids were all in footy pj's and we had glow sticks and turned my dinning room in to a kids dance bar lol it was fantastic! (downloaded minny pops lol) we also looked up last years ball drop and counted down at 9 and had all the kids do the happy new year noise maker thing at 9 on the front porch lol best new years ever!
