Can you do Vegas in a weekend? How long is the flight?

I think the flight is between 4-5 hours if you find a non-stop one from Detroit ... I've never been, a friend of mine goes all the time and she says that a weekend might not be long enough but if that's all you've got and you make a plan for what you want to do, you could probably work it in a long weekend :)

Depends on what you want to do. I don't think a weekend is long enough to "do" all of vegas. But, you could pick and choose.

I like having at least one day to walk the strip each way. Then one day to catch a show and just relax. Flights take 4-6hrs with getting to hotel after.

I don't think I'd do less than 3 days there. I plan on 5 days next time so I have a day for a Grand Canyon day trip. And a day for Freemont Street also.

But, yes, you can "do" some of Vegas if you just want to "see" it.

I agree- minimum 3 days - itll take you a whole day just to do one side of the strip - or at least it did for us - we checked out almost every hotel on the strip and did some outlet mall shopping and Freemont St and did 3 shows while we were there. We also had great nonstop flights at premium times. We left on Thursday and came back Sunday.

When I went we did 5 days. Depending on what you would like to do I would think 3 days could work. We walked around the first day, caught a show on the second, another show 3rd day and other two days we spend wondering the casinos, shopping and drinking lol
Flight is about 4 hrs. I do not recommend flying home hung over :p

Looking into it the difference between a weekend and a whole weeks stay is like $100. Talk to me about hotels. The good and the bad

If you can do a Monday Thru Friday it's cheaper. If you want to stay on the strip all the hotels are pretty good (I'd stay away from Circus Circus, the Imperial, and Big Bills) Affordable and still nice(Excalibur, Flamingo, Rio, New York, Ballys, Monte Carlo & Luxor)

Exclaibur thru Travelocity right now Sept 3-7, Flight and 4 nights $335.00 per person
