We just got back from Delawana Inn on the Georgian Bay. www.delawana.com It was our first experience at a family resort and we loved it. It was like the resort in Dirty Dancing (except very casual and minus Patrick Swayze RIP). The kids had an option for kids camp every day, meals were included and there was entertainment through the day and evening.

Delawana is getting dated, and hasn't been maintained as it should be. It's rustic to say the least. But despite that, we had a really great time. The staff & entertainment were wonderful, location can't be beat & tons to do on site. The 2 oldest loved their camp counsellors and made friends, we didn't stress about noise & messes (everyone had kids) and we spent tons of worry free family time.

We are definitely looking into other family resorts of this type. All things considered, it cost less than a cottage + tourist activities + food would have been.

Has anyone else been to a place like this? If not, I highly recommend it.
