mompreneurship : a company of moms |

July 2007
Newsletter
Some call it a trend; others describe it as a
phenomenon. But for us moms in business who are living
the reality of mompreneurship, it is our
life. It is who we are -- mompreneurs
--encapsulated in one word as trademarked in Canada
by Kathryn Bechthold, founder of The Mompreneur Networking Group Inc. and
The Mompreneur Magazine.
Mompreneurship, like all things-mom, is no small
undertaking. Just as we believe that it takes a village
to raise our children, we also believe that it takes a
company of moms to run our
mompreneur-businesses. The company of moms that we
are building here at MOM2MOM
TORONTO doesn't require directors and
shareholders. Rather, we are building a circle of trust where
moms can count on one another for support, advise, help and
friendship. We are doing this by connecting with one
another, sharing our stories, and being nothing less than
forthright and honest with one another. After all, not
only are we building a village and a company of moms -- we are
building a village and a company of moms with the strongest of
foundations.
"It has become
dramatically clear that the foundation of corporate integrity
is personal integrity." (DiPiazza,
Sam, CEO of PriceswaterhouseCoopers. May 13, 2003. It's All
Down to Personal Values.

mabel's labels : a company of
incredible moms
Mompreneur Julie
Cole lives in Burlington, Ontario
with her husband and five wonderful children: Mack (7), Posy (5), Spencer (4), Jessamy (2) and
Clancy (the most recent addition, just born last fall)!
It was while attending the University of Waterloo that
Julie first brought together what would be the Company
of Moms at Mabel's
Labels: herself,
Cynthia Esp, Tricia Mumby and Julie Ellis.
After graduating from Waterloo, Julie went on
to Graduate School at New York University where she met her
husband. After living abroad for many years, where Julie was
kept busy pursuing a Law Degree and giving birth to 3
children, Julie is back in her hometown where she presides
over the Mabel's empire with the help of her partners.

Today, Mabel's
Labels is the perfect dishwasher and
microwave-safe sticky label that can be used on
everything! Mabel's
Labels was the first company in North
America to develop and market personalized labels for
children. They are the original Canadian
label! Mabel's Labels are great for making sure
that your kids' stuff and your litter-less containers
keep coming home to you too! Today, Mabel's
employs seven full-time and 10-12 part-time employees who
handle the manufacturing, information technology, manage
Mabel's agents' and fundraisers' sales needs, and process and
ship orders with 24 hours of receipt.
Julie is our July
Mompreneur - read more about her in our website. Meet Julie in person - and order
some Mabel's
Labels to jumpstart your holiday shopping at

Show this November 3rd at the CNIB Centre!
