time out for moms' mommy to mommy sale The Bridge (a Markham Community Church), 5440 16th Avenue, Markham, Ontario Time Out for Moms presents their mom-to-mom sale - an enormous indoor garage sale where moms sell gently-used children's clothing, toys, accessories and maternity clothes. If you are pregnant, a new mom, or just searching for bargains, then this is the event for you! Admission is $2 per adult - all admission proceeds to benefit The Pregnancy Centre. _________________________________________________________________________________ may 27 (sunday 11:00am - 5:00pm)
The National Ballet of Canada Opens its Doors (FREE!) The Walter Carsen Centre for The National Ballet of Canada There is parking just east of Bathurst on the south side of Queens Quay. If you are taking the TTC, take the Harbourfront LRT west from Union station to Spadina or the Spadina streetcar south to Queens Quay. Ballet fans of all ages are invited to watch the National Ballet in rehearsal as they prepare for the spring season. The National Ballet's costumes, pointe shoes, wigs, props and set models will be on display. Tours of the facilities, including the wardrobe workshop will be offered. There will be a special "Kids Studio" with children's activities, including "dress up" in ballet costumes, arts and crafts, movement classes and more. The National Ballet of Canada's Open House is completely free of charge, and no reservations are required. Non-perishable food donations for the Daily Bread Food Bank are gratefully accepted. Watch National Ballet Dancers in Class on Stage Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, 145 Queen Street West (at University Avenue) Join The National Ballet of Canada for Class on Stage at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on Saturday June 2 from 1 pm - 2:15 pm. Artist-in-Residence Rex Harrington leads the dancers in their daily training routine while Senior Ballet Master Peter Ottmann provides insightful commentary. Class on Stage is open to the public and is free of charge. Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis beginning at noon. Members of the audience will observe dancers as they prepare for their opening performance that night of The Four Seasons, Polyphonia and Wolf's Court. There will also be a costume and pointe shoe display in the lobby. The National Ballet of Canada's Class on Stage is part of Luminato, Toronto Festival of Arts & Creativity 2007.
