what : Toronto's first ethical and ecologically-responsible holiday tradeshow for moms, by moms and a fun-filled community celebration for families!
- bring together moms, dads, kids, grandparents, and families in a fun, interactive community celebration
- promote ecological choices as well as ethical and responsible buys during the busy holiday shopping season while boosting our local economy by buying from our mompreneurs, artisans, and local businesses;
- give local children a platform for sharing their talents with the community while encouraging positive self-image and promoting literacy;
- provide an avenue for a variety of local agencies and support services that can inform and educate parents about issues concerning family life, child-rearing, child safety, literacy;
- raise funds and awareness for our charity, Jesse's Foundation
a varied cast of exhibitors : over 70 moms in business, artisans, and local businesses and organizations offering choice services and unique products (with a focus on locally-made, one-of-a-kind, earth-friendly, ecologically-responsible and health-conscious goods) for moms, moms-to-be, dads, babies, kids, and everything-to-do with family life;
a community showcase : featuring *interactive and kid-friendly activity booths by not-for-profit local agencies and organizations who provide important services and information for parents and families;
live programmes and demonstrations by our local children and *interactive exhibitors in the mom2mom cafe : a variety of recreational and educational programmes performed live onstage (martial arts, choir, dance)
Mama Mingles by Wee Welcome : meet other moms, play games, win prizes, and enjoy a short demo from our special guests
- children’s activities and colouring contests : children can blow bubbles, make a holiday craft, colour a picture and claim a prize!
- short live talks and demonstrations by local experts : brief interactive talks on varied topics such as empowering women and girls, positive behaviour management, healthier living and lifestyle choices PLUS a live interactive presentation and book-signing by LESLIE GARRETT and an empowering live talk by ERICA EHM
- healthy and yummy food and refreshments : offering only organic, preservative-free, nutritious food for the whole family throughout the day;
- a nursing area by Wee Welcome : put your feet up and read a magazine while breastfeeding your baby in the comfort of our Wee Welcome nursing area if you need a little downtime
- on-site babysitting : your little ones can have fun while you shop in our secure babysitting room
- photos with Santa : talk with Santa and have your picture taken with him too!
- a fundraising and awareness campaign for Jesse’s Foundation : a registered charity founded by a local mom and named after her own son, Jesse’s Foundation helps provide music therapy to critically ill children and their siblings;
- free (reusable) goody bags to the 1st 200 moms who come in with their coupons : filled with fantastic discounts and giveaways from our merchants and sponsors
- enter to WIN an incredible bagful (reusable, of course!) gifts for mom & baby: bring your postcard or enter at the show
