MBA (Moms in Business Administration)
The mom2mom toronto MBA is nothing at all like a two or three year university Master's Degree in Business Administration! Our MBA - Moms In Business Administration - Programme is borne out of a mom's needs and a mom's dreams. It is intuitive, creative, practical and unusual...it is the only Business-oriented Programme that will not award you with a degree but will happily cheer you on as you breastfeed or burp your wee one during a seminar or a workshop. Our offerings are designed to inspire, help, motivate, educate, promote and launch you and your business. Being a mom is tough; being a mom while running or launching your own business is tougher. That's why we're here -- to make it just that much easier by making the information and services that we moms need in our daily lives as mompreneurs™ easily accessible.
the mom2mom MBA Networking Workshops (free to mom2mom members, $15 for non-members) - no business suits required in our business meetings!
Our casual networking workshops involve 10-15 of us moms getting together to talk about our businesses with one another, and to share our resources, ideas, visions, and suggestions. These meetings are ideal for the mom who is looking to launch a new business or grow her existing small venture, and is need of new contacts, fresh eyes, more motivation, and a supportive network of other moms in business!
Each 3-hour meeting will focus on a different topic of discussion which will be led by mom2mom toronto and a guest expert. During the course of the meeting, each mom in business will get a chance to present her business or creative venture to the group -- great public-speaking practise in the safety of friends! You will also receive useful handouts with important resources for moms in business. And of course...no business meeting or mommy-get-together is ever complete without the great food and drinks, so refreshments will be served!
What to bring:
- a brief outline of your business plan (what products/services will your business provide? who is your target market? what is your customer profile? what skills/credentials do you have in relation to your venture? what is your vision? what is your goal?)
- minimum 15 business cards (we will be exchanging cards and maybe giving out one another's cards to our friends and contacts whom we think would like to know about your business, so stock up!)
- a great attitude, positive energy, lots of gumption, creative juices and an open mind!
How:
- The network workshops are free to mom2mom members. Register for your free membership by clicking here. There is a minimal fee of $15 per mom for non-members. Payment can be made by cheque or email money transfers.
