what : the mom2mom shows are more than just trade shows for moms by moms.

the mom2mom holiday show kicks off the holiday season by celebrating all-things mom and woman.  The SHOW promotes positive change and self-image, supports empowerment of women and girls, and advocates healthy and earth-friendly living. The SHOW aims to:

• bring together moms, dads, kids, grandparents, and families in a fun, interactive community celebration
• promote ethical and responsible buys while boosting our local economy by buying from our mompreneurs, artisans, and local businesses;
• give local children a platform for sharing their talents with the community while encouraging positive self-image and promoting literacy;
• provide an avenue for a variety of local agencies and support services that can inform and educate parents about issues concerning family life, child-rearing, child safety, literacy;
• raise funds and awareness for our charity, Jesse's Foundation

• an incredible line-up of 70 mommy-merchants - holiday shopping for all the babies, children, moms, grandmoms, and moms-to-be on your list (including yourself!) has never been more exciting and fabulous! with over 60 mompreneurs, artisans, and local businesses offering choice services and unique products why shop at the malls when you can buy unique, hard-to-find must-haves at the mom2mom toronto holiday show!
• a community showcase with interactive and kid-friendly activity booths (crafts, bubble-blowing, activities for kids!) : by not-for-profit local agencies and organizations who provide important services and information for parents and families;
• live programmes and demonstrations by our local children and interactive exhibitors: a variety of recreational and educational programmes performed live onstage (martial arts, choir, dance)
• a children’s writing contest (Grades 1-6) around the theme "Every Child Is a Winner" presented in partnership with The Canadian Children’s Book Centre : promoting literacy and positive self-image, young writers will write a 200-word essay on the theme “I Am A Winner…” The first 200 participants to submit their essays will be presented with a “I Am A Winner” certificate and small prize at the Show; 1 Grand Prize Winner from each grade level will receive a prize pack from our sponsor/s, and will have the opportunity to read their essay onstage at the Show with a celebrity author.
• short live talks and demonstrations by local experts : brief interactive talks on varied topics such as empowering women and girls, positive behaviour management, natural health;
• photos with Santa : children can meet and have their picture taken with Santa!
• a fundraising and awareness campaign for Jesse's Foundation - an established program (with a waiting list) that makes music therapy more affordable and readily accessible to children with long-term illnesses and disabilities, and their siblings in their home community - part of the admission proceeds to be donated to Jesse's Foundation
• food, glorious food! : healthy and yummy refreshments and lunch will be available all day so stay, eat, shop, and be merry!
