what is REALE SUPPORT FOR SMALL BUSINESS?

Reale Support is a one stop shop for all the business needs for small/home based businesses. I work with individuals who are interested in growing their own businesses who do not have a wad of start-up cash available to them.  I help them find free resources and tools to grow their businesses, provide affordable administrative, bookkeeping and paralegal support. 

what is the story behind your business name?

a few friends were sitting with me brainstorming to pick the appropriate name to describe what I do.  REALE is my last name and it means genuine, true, sincere which is what I am, and SUPPORT is what I do. 

how, when, and where did reale support come to life?

I worked as a medical claims examiner for over 20 years and as a disability claims examiner during the downsizing years and the beginning of the self-employment wave.  many of the people that were on disability who recovered enough to return to work where left without jobs and no alternatives.  this is where Reale Support was conceived because I would talk to them about starting their own business and how they could do it with little or no start up cash.  Reale Support was born in 2005 when my mother became ill and needed me to be home with her.  Reale Support gives me the opportunity to work from home, be with my mother and children when they needed me and still provide me with an income

what inspires you to do what you do?

• the chance to help people enjoy a better quality of life and to free them from a job that they don't enjoy;
• providing parents the opportunity to be available for their families and not having to feel guilty about taking time away from the office.

what did you do before reale support?

I worked in the medical group insurance industry for over 20 years; the last few years I enjoyed the versatility and freedom of temporary placements, and in the last year I have begun working my dream.

how do you market and sell your products and/or services?

I distribute flyers, joined online groups like mom2mom, give seminars, rely on word of mouth from existing clients, advertiseon sites that provide free advertising, and volunteer my services with non-profit groups.

what are the 3 words that you would use to describe yourself as a mompreneur?

determined, persistent, compassionate.

what are the 3 (inanimate!) things that you couldn't live without as a mompreneur?

my computer, Nova Era (where I network with other small business owners), and my phone. 

what are the 3 greatest challenges that you face/d as a mompreneur?

finding affordable space to hold seminars; children who want my attention when I am working or with a client; and time which is the enemy of all entrepreneurs. 

finally, what would you advise a mom who is thinking of starting her own business?

go for it! it is way to give you the time to spend with your children because you can work your schedule around theirs, takes the guilt out of those doctor’s visits or that school trip you like to go on, or that cuddle you’d like to give them after a hard day at school.  you gain independence and having your own business stops you from becoming isolated which can sometimes happen when you stay at home with just the kids.  plus it can help enhance your quality of life by providing the oh-so wonderful thing called the second income.
