Ontario Early Years Centres

The Ontario government created Ontario Early Years Centres to be a place where parents and caregivers can get answers to questions, information about programs and services that are available for young children, and an opportunity to talk to early years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community.

The Centres programs are aimed at assisting parents and caregivers with raising happy, healthy children. The program is literacy-based in a free play environment that s developmentally appropriate for children from birth to age six. Parents and caregivers stay, play, read, and sing alongside their children, and have opportunities to engage in dialogue with other parents and caregivers as well as early childhood professionals. Connections can be made between parents/caregivers and other community partners to offer resource supports to meet a variety of needs.

Arrive when you and your child are ready - no need to register. The program is free of charge. A healthy snack is provided.

Evening and weekend hours are determined by community needs at the three main centres. In addition to these three main sites, there are community-based satellites that provide a similar program.
